Customizing the Look
In an information-heavy app like Actions, it’s critical to have the readability as perfect as possible. That can mean a lot of different things to a lot of different people, so we’ve created a scale of text size for you to adjust if you feel it’s necessary.
- Tap the Menu icon at the bottom of the screen
- Tap “Preferences”
- Tap “Text Size”
Actions then offers options on your preferred text size, including the ability to use the device’s current text size. You can also drag your finger along the slider in the middle of the screen to change the size. Once you’re content, tap the icon at the top and enjoy the change!
Actions offers manual and automatic options for Day and Night Modes. By default, Actions is set up in Day Mode, which includes black text on a white background and black icons through the interface.
Night Mode, however, keeps Action Cards the same color while flipping interface colors from white to black and vice versa. Night Mode – as its name implies – is typically switched on at night, but can be used in any situation.
To activate Night Mode manually, open Menu and tap the Night Mode icon at the lower right. In the same fashion, tap the Day Mode icon to return the interface to its default.
On Web, click the Day/Night Mode button at the top of the window next to the Menu button to switch between modes.
To activate Day and Night Modes automatically on iOS, tap the Menu icon and choose “Preferences.” Then, tap “General” and select “Auto.” You can also turn both models on manually in this menu.
Whether a List shifts in content or you’re just feeling like making a change, altering List colors can make a big difference in Actions’ interface. Not only will it change the way the List looks, but it’ll also affect every Action Card in Actions that belongs to that relevant List.
- Visit the Lists pane
- Tap a List to enter fullscreen mode
- Tap the color icon
- Choose from one of 19 colors
Note: On Actions for iPad, the Lists tab is displayed by default, so you’ll only need to perform steps 2-4.
Once you follow the above steps, the List’s color will be changed throughout the app.
